INSTRUCTION
Media literacy instruction has been integrated in the courses I teach and develop for 15 years. They exist as complete media literacy curriculum ready for adoption and as units of instruction with performance assessments. • Example One and Example Two– It offers 20 thematic units designed to teach students' media literacy skills.
• Example Three, Example Four –Two books teaching students how to question TV programs and Internet information.
• Example Five, Example Six– Both Children’s Literature and Elementary Language Arts Methods are courses for pre-service teachers in which media literacy skills are addressed as units with assignments.
• Example Seven – A secondary education method course where media literacy concepts are discussed and students learn to integrate media literacy in their content instruction

• Example Nine, Example Ten, Example Eleven – Three courses developed for the Master’s Program at American University in Dubai. Media literacy principles and concepts are addressed in all three of them.
• Example Twelve – Published in Teaching K-8, it offers ideas for language arts teachers to teach media literacy skills.
• Example Thirteen – The article demonstrates with examples that media literacy is interdisciplinary by nature and it can be integrated into every subject we teach
