Advising
Karen Oswald meets w student

Karen Oswald, an instructor in
the Department of Teacher
Education, shares information
with a student.

Every undergraduate and graduate student is assigned a faculty advisor in his/her program area. A student should schedule an appointment with his/her advisor each quarter to discuss academic and career-related needs. The appointment can be most effective if the student brings a current DARS report, written questions and a tentative schedule. A student may obtain the name, phone number and email address of his/her advisor from the information desk in the lobby of McCracken Hall. A student may also access his/her own specific advisor information from the Registrar website:  http://www.ohiou.edu/registrar/

The Office of Student Services staff will advise students in situations that involve initiating and updating student records, clarifying University policies and procedures, assisting students through phases of their programs (e.g. admission to professional education, graduation, licensure) or in situations that require immediate attention and the faculty advisor is unavailable. Appointments with a Student Services Administrator or Staff Member may be made by calling 740-593-4400 or by stopping by the information desk in the lobby of McCracken Hall.
